    Greetings,
we’re studying the implementation of Orocommerce with a client’s catalogue and I was wandering if, in future releases, you have in mind to add custom options like in Magento.

I am asking because we could use current Orocommerce configurable products, but for the particular catalogue structure it will generate one attribute with thousands and thousands of options.
For ex. a product with fixed SKU 123 can have the variant “1×1”, “1×2”, “2×1″,…,”NxN” (in the hundreds).

Or maybe there is a method to organize products and I’m not noticing it, like create a master product as a category and the variations as single products of that category, but the would be problems with data and representation.

If you can direct me in how to solve this problem I would be very grateful 🙂

Thank you and keep up the good work.
    Marco
