Access Oro

This section explains basics of login and logout processes and provides guidance on troubleshooting login issues.

Access OroCRM and/or OroCommerce Application

OroCRM/OroCommerce is a web application and to access it you need to enter its address in a web browser.

If you are not currently logged into the Oro application, the Login page opens.

Log In

  1. On the Login page, enter your OroCRM/OroCommerce credentials: username and password.

    Important

    Typically, you receive your credentials directly from an administrator or they are automatically sent to the email address specified in your user profile upon the profile creation.

    OroCRM and OroCommerce can be set up to accept your existing corporate username and password. This is possible if your organization utilizes LDAP to share them across multiple applications. Please check with your system administrator to see if this is the case.

  2. If you want to be automatically logged in the next time you open the OroCRM/OroCommerce application from this device, select the Remember me on this computer check box.

  3. Click the Log In button.

Caution

It is strictly recommended to change your password immediately after the first login. For how to do this, see Change Your Password.

Log in Using an Authentication Code

As an additional security measure, an administrator may enable double-factor authentication for users. In this case, in addition to your username and password, you must enter also a special authentication code that you will receive to the email address specified in your OroCRM/OroCommerce user profile.

  1. On the Login page, enter your username and password and click the Log In button. The Authentication code page opens.
  2. On the Authentication code page, enter the code that you have received to your email address.
  3. Click Log In.

Log in with Your Google Account

If the Google Single Sign-On has been enabled for your organization, you can log in using your Gmail account. Usually this capability is enabled for corporate email addresses only, so your cannot use your personal mailbox credentials.

Important

The email used for the Google account and the primary email specified in your OroCRM/OroCommerce user profile must be the same.

  1. On the Login page, click the login using google link.

  2. If the you not logged into any Google accounts, after the link has been clicked, a usual Google log-in page will appear.

    1. Log in into your Google account.

    2. As soon as you have logged into you Google account, a request to use the account in order to log into OroCRM/OroCommerce will appear. Click the Allow button.

Log Out

To log out of the OroCRM and/or OroCommerce application, in the user menu in the upper-right corner of the page, click Logout.

Forgot Your Password

If you forgot your password, perform the following steps:

  1. Open the Login page.
  2. Click the Forgot your password? link.
  1. On the Forgot Password page, enter your username or the primary email address specified in your profile and click Request.
  1. If the credentials you have entered in the previous step are not valid, you will see the corresponding notification:

    If credentials are valid, a password reset link will be sent to your email address:

    Follow the link and instructions in your email to change your password.

Note

You can request password reset no more than once a day, so make sure that your remember your new password.

Troubleshooting

Account Is Locked

The Account is locked notification means that your account has been disabled in the system. This is similar to a deleted account—your can no longer log into the system and other users cannot engage you in the business activities.

Solution:

If you are sure that this is a mistake, please contact an administrator.

Credentials Have Expired

The Credentials have expired notification means that the password reset procedure has been initiated. It could be started manually by an administrator or automatically if your company has a password policy that requires users to periodically change their password. (In the latter case, you might have received notifications reminding you to change your password soon.)

Solution:

Please check your email box for the password reset link. You will be able to log into the system after you change your password.

Invalid Username or Password

You have entered the wrong credentials.

Solution:

Try again.

Invalid Username

The password policy of your organization gives you a limited number of login attempts. You have entered the wrong credentials but you still have some attempts left.

Solution:

Try again.

Invalid Credentials. The Account Has Been Locked

The password policy of your organization gives you only limited number of login attempts. You have failed them all and become locked out of the system: you cannot log in, however, your profile is still enabled in the system and other users can engage you in business activities.

Solution:

Please contact an administrator. Only an administrator can now activate your account.
